L Train Partial Service Shutdown Starts Monday Night
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Starting Monday night, L train service will be partially suspended overnights for the next several weeks.
The MTA announced service will be suspended between the Broadway Junction station and Manhattan from 10:45 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
The mini shutdowns will take place nights Mondays through Fridays and weekends until March 18.
According to an MTA service advisory update, commuters trying to get between Manhattan and Brooklyn can take the A , F, J or M trains as alternatives.

For Manhattan L stations, people can take the M14 bus, while in Brooklyn, MTA shuttle buses will run along two routes:
- Between Broadway Junction and Lorimer Street, connecting with Marcy Av J subway.
- Loop between Marcy Av J, Hewes St J, Broadway G, Lorimer St-Metropolitan Av G, and Bedford Avenue/
These shuttle buses are free and will stop at L subway stations between Bedford Avenue and Broadway Junction.
The overnight repairs come weeks after Gov. Andrew Cuomo revised a plan to shutdown the L train entirely for 15 months to repair damage from Superstorm Sandy.
