Knicks' Porzingis Unanimous All-Rookie Team Selection

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Knicks power forward Kristaps Porzingis is one of two unanimous selections to the NBA's All-Rookie first team.

The NBA announced the first and second teams Thursday. Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns, who was named Rookie of the Year this week, was the other player who received all 130 first-team votes from a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.

Porzingis, the fourth overall selection in last year's draft, averaged 14.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.9 blocked shots per game.

The first pick out of Kentucky in the 2015 draft, Towns averaged 18.1 points, 10.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks.

Also being named to the first team were Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker, Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic and Philadelphia 76ers center Jahlil Okafor.

Being voted to the second team were Miami Heat forward Justise Winslow, Los Angeles Lakers guard D'Angelo Russell, Denver Nuggets guard Emmanuel Mudiay, Indiana Pacers forward/center Myles Turner and Sacramento Kings center Willie Cauley-Stein.

Knicks point guard Jerian Grant received one second-place vote. The Brooklyn Nets' Rondae Hollis-Jefferson received two second-place votes.
