KFC Rolls Out Limited Edition Drumstick Corsage For Prom
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- If you're looking for a way to combine the romantic air of prom night with your love of fast food, you're in luck.
KFC is offering a limited edition drumstick corsage that will be sure to make your date swoon.
The KFC Drumstick Corsage comes in three flavors: original, extra crispy, or Kentucky grilled.
As 1010 WINS' Gary Baumgarten reported, the advertisement makes the corsage seem romantic, but many New Yorkers he spoke to in Midtown said the item was a bit perplexing.
"(laughs) But why they doing that?" one resident said.
One woman said she'd be OK with a chicken corsage, if it came from Church's Chicken.
"What am I gonna do? Walk down the street and every now and then take a bite out of my wrist?" another resident said.
KFC said only 100 chicken corsages will be available for order, and once they're gone, they're gone.
Ordering the corsage will cost you $20, plus shipping and handling.
