LISTEN: Kevin Harlan Makes Hilarious Play-By-Play Call After Fan Runs Onto Field At 49ers-Rams Game
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (CBSNewYork) --- With the 49ers leading the Rams 21-0 in the fourth quarter, Westwood One's Kevin Harlan probably never dreamed one of his calls in that game would soon go viral.
And then an attention-seeking "goofball," as Harlan put it, darted onto the field.
Harlan called the sequence of events with the excitement and detail of a big play in the clutch moments of a Super Bowl.
"He's running down the middle by the 50!" Harlan said. "He's at the 30! He's bare-chested and banging his chest! Now he runs the opposite way!. He runs at the 50! He runs at the 40! The guy is drunk, but there he goes!"
The fan, who had a phone number written across his chest, was eventually tackled by authorities.
