Kennedy Center Honorees Include Sesame Street, Sally Field, Linda Ronstadt, Earth Wind & Fire

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announced its selection of honorees today.

Among them were the children's program Sesame Street, Academy award winning actress Sally Field, Grammy award winning singer Linda Ronstadt, conductor and musical visionary Michael Tilson Thomas, and the iconic R&B band Earth, Wind and Fire.

The Kennedy Center Honors recognizes lifetime achievements in the arts and will be broadcast Dec. 15 at 8:00 p.m. on CBS2.
