Kaitlyn George, Missing UMD Student From Toms River, Found Safe

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A University of Maryland student from Toms River who had been reported missing last week has been found safe in Houston, Texas, campus police said.

Kaitlyn George, 21, was reported missing on Thursday, Nov. 10 after a friend said she never showed up to meet for a hike.

She was captured on video at the Greyhound Bus Station in Baltimore the next day, police said.

She boarded a bus headed to Norfolk, Virginia, police said.

University of Maryland police received a call from Houston police today saying they had located George in a fast-food restaurant.

She was by herself and was OK, police said.

UMD police thanked everyone who helped locate George.
