Dozens Of Puppies Found In Cold, Unattended Van Behind Just Pups Store Put Up For Adoption

PARAMUS, NJ (CBSNewYork) - That didn't take long.

Sixty seven puppies found crated in a van behind the Just Pups pet store last month were put up for adoption.

The Borough of Paramus said the response to the adoption was so overwhelming they are no longer taking applications.

More than 400 people have already put in applications for the puppies.

Just Pups owner Vincent LoSacco and his brother Leonard LoSacco face 134 counts of animal cruelty. If convicted, each count carries a fine of up to $2,000 or imprisonment of up to six months.

Both have pleaded not guilty.
