Junior's Celebrates 65th Anniversary With Slices Of Cheesecake For 65 Cents

NEW YORK (CBSNEwYork) -- One of Brooklyn's best-known desserts can be purchased at a steep discount Tuesday.

To celebrate their 65th anniversary, Junior's is selling their world famous New York-style cheesecake for just 65 cents a slice at its original Brooklyn restaurant.

Alan Rosen, the third-generation owner, called it a "thank you" to all their great customers since his grandfather founded the restaurant at the corner of Flatbush and DeKalb avenues back in 1950.

"We think 65-cent slices of cheesecake is pretty special, and we're honored that we're still around after 65 years and still going strong," Rosen told 1010 WINS. "We're happy to be part of New York."

The offer lasts through midnight.

The company reportedly sells a million cheesecakes a year.
