Bombers, Fighter Jets Fly Over NYC For July 4th Celebration

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - If you stayed in the city this holiday weekend, you may have caught another military flyover.

Around 5 p.m. Saturday, bombers and fighter jets from the Air Force and Marine Corps flew over the Hudson River, passing the Statue of Liberty then heading towards the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge.

It was part of the U.S. Military's event called "Salute to the Great Cities of the American Revolution."
