Ouch! Jon Stewart Body Slammed By WWE's John Cena

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - That's one way to enjoy your retirement.

Jon Stewart, a lifelong wrestling fan, seems to have settled on at least one part of his post-"Daily Show" career: Professional wrestling.

Stewart hosted the WWE's "SummerSlam" at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn Sunday night, where he disrupted a match by bashing wrestler John Cena with a chair, costing Cena the U.S. Championship.

On "Monday Night Raw," Cena got his revenge by body slamming the comedian. Cena's variation on the maneuver is called the "Attitude Adjustment."

"In my heart, I could not let John Cena tie the great Ric Flair for 16 championships, because in my mind the champ is Flair," Stewart said. "Not on my watch! Wasn't gonna let it happen!"

"I understand that, so I know you're gonna understand this," Cena told Stewart. "Because right now, I'm just gonna do what I gotta do."

Given it's the WWE, it seems certain we've not seen the last of Stewart in the ring.
