Johnny Manziel And 6 Other Athletes Who Need To Grow Up

Johnny Manziel is just one athlete who has garnered attention for all the wrong reasons.

He's young, as are most of the players on this list, so there's still hope that he'll mature one of these days. Or years.

These seven are in need of a wake-up call:

7. J.R. Smith, NY Knicks

If Rihanna is calling you out for your conduct off the basketball court, you're doing something wrong. And then there's the stuff he does ON the court.

6. Mark Sanchez, Philadelphia Eagles

His playboy lifestyle could be a major reason why his career has taken a turn for the worse. Was never going to be a star but he wouldn't have been a total flop, either. He's lost his focus.

5. Yasiel Puig, LA Dodgers

Incredibly talented, but he needs to learn to be a team player. Showing up to the ballpark late and arguing with your teammates? That's simply unacceptable.

4. Manny Machado, Baltimore Orioles

Of course he didn't mean to let the bat slip out of his hands. Likely story, kid.

3. Bryce Harper, Washington Nationals

Whether it's by calling out reporters for asking "clown questions" or by kicking dirt onto the visiting team's logo behind home plate, Harper is always causing trouble. He's the real clown, bro.

2. Johnny Manziel, Cleveland Browns

His most memorable NFL moments: (1) making a "show me the money" gesture with his hands while standing at the podium at the draft and (2) flipping the bird while running past the Washington Redskins bench during a preseason game. Can't wait to see what he does next.

1. Alex Rodriguez, NY Yankees

A-Rod still sets the standard for immature athletes. The sad thing is, he's older than everyone else on this list, yet he's stuck in Never Never Land.
