John McEnroe's Son Arrested, Charged With Drug Possession In NYC

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Tennis great John McEnroe's son was arrested Tuesday night in the East Village during an alleged drug buy, according to police.

Kevin McEnroe, 27, was arrested around 11:30 p.m., when police in plain clothes spotted what appeared to be a drug sale on the corner of 4th Street and Avenue A, CBS 2 reported.

Police said they found McEnroe with six glassines of what appeared to be cocaine, according to CBS 2. Authorities also said they recovered 20 oxycodone pills, 10 unidentified orange-colored pills and one pill of the sedative clorazepate.

He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Kevin McEnroe is the son of actress Tatum O'Neal.
