JFK Security Screener Convicted Of Stealing Thousands From Passengers
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- A security screener at JFK Airport will spend up to 14-years in prison.
A judge found Alexandra Schmid, 34, guilty of stealing $10,000 from passengers.
In one case Schmid took $6,000. In another she lifted $4,000 in money and jewels.
Schmid would separate passengers from their carry-ons and rifle through the bags.
