Partial Shutdown Of JFK AirTrain System Coming Overnight
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The AirTrain system at John F. Kennedy International Airport will be partially shut down overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.
Beginning at 9 p.m. Tuesday, and continuing until 7 a.m. Wednesday, crews will conduct essential and unanticipated repair work on the AirTrain system, according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
The Port Authority will bring in shuttle buses from the AirTrain JFK stations at Howard Beach, Lefferts Boulevard and Federal Circle, as well as all airline terminals and parking lots.
AirTrain service will continue normal operation overnight from Federal Circle to Jamaica Station.
Passengers and airport employees are advised to allow extra time while traveling to and from JFK Airport overnight.
