Jets' Muhammad Wilkerson Day To Day With Tweaked Hamstring

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — New York Jets defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson is day to day with a tweaked hamstring that kept him out of practice Tuesday.

The 25-year-old spent the early portion of practice on a stationary bike, and then remained in the trainers' area the rest of the time. He was injured during practice Sunday, when he walked off the field and went to the locker room with a trainer.

The team was off from practice Monday. The injury isn't believed to be serious.

Coach Todd Bowles says "hopefully" Wilkerson will be available to practice Wednesday, but added that the Jets are going to be cautious with the injury.

Running back Stevan Ridley remains on the active-physically unable to play list as he recovers from torn right knee ligaments last season.
