3 People Shot And Killed Inside Jersey City Home

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) --  Three people are dead after being shot inside a home in Jersey City, authorities said Tuesday.

Police responded to a call about gunshots coming from a home on Fulton Avenue around 10 p.m. Monday.

When officers arrived, they found a man, later identified as 31-year-old Quadel Chisolm, unresponsive in the entrance hallway with an apparent gunshot wound to his upper torso, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.

Inside, police found another man and a woman, identified as 26-year-old Ishear Bailey and 25-year-old Janaya Lee. Suarez said both had "multiple gunshot wounds" to their upper bodies.

All three were pronounced dead at the scene.

Bernard Brewer says Chisolm was his son.

"He leaves behind two little children that's now going to grow up without a dad," he told CBS2's Magdalena Doris.

Friends say the female victim was pregnant with her second child, but that has not yet been confirmed by authorities.

"She is pregnant and she had a baby inside of her," said her former classmate, Isiah Allen. "She didn't deserve that."

"How can you see a girl pregnant, you don't care about killing her, you don't care about killing anybody," said Brewer.

As for the suspect or suspects involved, Brewer is hopeful that justice will be served in this life or the next, relying on his faith in God.

"He's already got a GPS on all of them," he said. "He knows where every one of them is and He knows what they're doing right now."

A source tells 1010 WINS' John Montone it appears to have been a drug robbery that went bad and that when police arrived there were drugs and guns all over the apartment along with the bodies.

The investigation is ongoing.
