Police Investigating Crash Involving Stolen Vehicle In Jersey City

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are investigating a crash involving a stolen vehicle Tuesday morning in Jersey City.

Surveillance video shows the car leaving the gas station on Kennedy Boulevard around 5:30 a.m. The owner say he left his keys in the car when he went inside the gas station to buy a coffee.

Police say the suspect later crashed the car into three vehicles on Tonnelle Avenue. Traffic was backed up for miles as crews worked to clear the vehicles from the roadway.

No word on the extent of the injuries or if the suspect is in custody.
