Jersey City Police Officer Found Dead In Cambodia

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A Jersey City police officer died this week while traveling in Cambodia, officials said Thursday.

The U.S. State Department notified the city Wednesday of the death of Officer James Forrester, city spokeswoman Jennifer Morrill announced.

Morrill said further details about the circumstances of Forrester's death were not immediately available.

An NJ.com report said Forrester, 45, served in the East District in Jersey City and had been with the department for 20 years.
