Jeb Bush's Gun Tweet Backfires As GOP Hopeful Gets Ridiculed, Mocked
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Jeb Bush is coming under fire for a tweet.
The former Florida governor posted on Twitter the words "America," with an image of a gun that had Gov. Jeb Bush engraved on it.

Bush was immediately ridiculed and mocked on social media, as CBS News' Major Garrett reports some users even responded back in jest to the Republican presidential hopeful telling him not to take his own life.

Bush said he got the weapon after touring a gun manufacturing facility.
"The purpose was we went to a gun manufacturing facility where lots of jobs are created, high-wage jobs. And I received a gun and I was honored to have it," Bush said, according to The Hill.
The latest CBS News Battleground Tracker Poll shows Bush on polling at 6 percent ahead of South Carolina's Republican primary.
