LISTEN: Villanova Head Coach Jay Wright Talks About Team's Toughness With Francesa

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Villanova is on their way to their first Final Four since 2009 after some recent early exits in the NCAA Tournament.

Head coach Jay Wright joined Mike Francesa Monday and talked about his team's toughness and tenacity after defeating number one overall seed Kansas on Saturday.

"I think it gave them a way to not fear failure. We had failed three times, we had handled it. We took the heat. We told the guys that's what sports is all about, you got to learn how to handle difficult situations," Wright said. "And I think they went into this tournament with no fear of failure, just saying, 'Hey, we've done this before, we can handle that.' They played with great confidence."

Villanova will face Oklahoma in the Final Four for the right to play in the national championship.

Wright also breaks down Villanova's win while talking to Francesa. Listen to the entire interview below.
