Long Island Restaurant Worker Accused Of Recording Woman In Restroom

GLEN HEAD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A Long Island restaurant worker is accused of recording a woman as she used the restroom.

The incident occurred at Jack's Shack in Glen Head around 2 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

The 27-year-old woman told police she saw 43-year-old Edward Ramirez, an employee at the restaurant, leaving the women's bathroom.

When she went into the bathroom, police said she noticed a cell phone taped under the sink was pointed in her direction and recording her.

She took the cell phone and called police who determined the phone belonged to Ramirez, CBS2 reported.

The Glen Cove man is charged with second-degree attempted unlawful surveillance and is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.
