NYPD: Man Steals Carhartt Jacket From Bushwick Retailer, Flees

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is searching for a man who they say stole a jacket from an Urban Jungle clothing store location in Bushwick last week.

Police say the man put a burgundy Carhartt jacket on inside the store at around 7 p.m. on Sept. 29, and then forced his way past a security guard.

The 45-year-old security guard had minor injuries, but refused medical attention.

The suspect took off in a black sedan, police say.

Police describe the suspect as a man in his 30s, standing 5'5" tall and weighing around 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and dark pants.

The NYPD is asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, or by logging on to their website at www.NYPDcrimestoppers.com. Tips can remain anonymous.
