It's Not Too Late To Get Involved In Long Island's Marcum Workplace Challenge Walk/Run

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Long Island's largest walk/run fundraiser is quickly approaching.

The Marcum Workplace Challenge will be held July 29 at Jones Beach State Park. The 3 1/2 mile-event benefits three organizations -- Long Island Cares (the Harry Chapin Food Bank), the Long Island Children's Museum and the Children's Medical Fund of New York.

This year's fundraiser will be emceed by CBS 2 reporter Jennifer McLogan.

Carolyn Mazzenga of Marcum LLP told CBS 2's Emily Smith that it's not too late for people to get involved.

"Registration is still open," she said. "They need to go to the website, www.marcumworkplacechallenge.com. ... And if they're not walkers or runners, they can still come and participate in the event, be a spectator. We also look for volunteers to help with the event."
