'Swatting' Incident Leads To Lockdown At Indian Hill School In Holmdel

HOLMDEL, N.J. (CBSNewYork) - The Indian Hill School was locked down Tuesday morning following a threatening phone call, Holmdel Police said.

The incident started at around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Police officers blocked off entrances to the school.

Police later determined the incident was a "swatting" incident, in which a bogus threat is called in to draw a massive police response.

"There was a report of a possible threat to Indian Hill," police said in a statement. "Due to the nature of the threat, no evacuation was deemed to be necessary. The other schools are in 'secure the building' until further notice. Please do not come to the schools during this time."
