Inclement Weather Causing Massive Delays At New York-Area Airports

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Inclement weather is causing massive delays at New York-area airports.

At LaGuardia Airport, departing flights are delayed up to an hour and 15 minutes, as inbound flights are delayed at their origin an average of one hour and 41 minutes due to thunderstorms.

Previously at Newark Liberty International Airport, inbound flights are delayed an average of two hours and 49 minutes, while departures are delayed between 15 and 29 minutes. The airport now has no delays or alerts.

At John F. Kennedy International Airport, departures are delayed an average of 35 minutes.
