1 Dead, Dozens Hurt In 'Serious' Crash Involving NYC-Bound Bus In New Jersey
PARSIPPANY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- At least one person was killed and parts of I-80 were closed in both directions Thursday night after a major crash involving a bus in Morris County, New Jersey.

Authorities say a New York City-bound Adirondack Trailways bus travelling in the eastbound express lanes in Parsippany struck a median and three other vehicles near exit 43 around 7:30 p.m., causing debris to scatter across both sides of the interstate.

There has been a serious motor vehicle crash on Route 80 in the area of MM 45. Extremely heavy delays. Partial and/or full shutdown of the highway possible. Use alternate routes.
Video posted to social media shows a passenger being escorted from the bus while a firefighter looks inside through the smashed out front windshield.
Sources tell CBS2 the fatality was not an occupant of the bus.
Officials say 28 other people were hurt, two of whom were critical.

Eastbound and westbound express lanes remained closed approaching Exit 43, with traffic diverted to local lanes.
It wasn't immediately known where the bus originated.
