1 Person Seriously Injured, Dog Killed In Bronx Fire

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Firefighters had to overcome thick smoke and cluttered conditions to rescue a person trapped on the second floor of a burning home in the Bronx on Friday.

She's now hospitalized in serious condition.

The fire started just after 6 p.m. on Hunts Point Avenue.

Three firefighters suffered minor injuries.
