The Coast Guard says flames broke out on a 48-foot yacht just before 3:30 p.m. near 72nd Street. Seven people were on board.

That good Samaritan rescued all seven and took them to an NYPD boat.

The Coast Guard says the yacht sank and they are now monitoring the water for pollution.

No injuries were reported.
