Cops: Ax-Wielding Men Destroy Holiday Decorations Outside LI Home
LAKE GROVE (CBSNewYork) -- Long Island police are searching for two ax-wielding men who destroyed Christmas decorations outside of a Suffolk County home on Dec. 30.
Surveillance video captured the two men destroying holiday decorations outside of a home in Lake Grove, using axes to chop away at a Christmas tree, palm trees and other inflatables on the property, officials said. The incident caused around $3,000 in damages.
Police suspect the attack was targeted, since they attacked the home only minutes after the owner left for work, WCBS 880's Mike Xirinachs reported.
Suffolk County police are offering a $1,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest in connection to this incident.
