Water Main Break Leaves Hoboken Streets Flooded

HOBOKEN, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Hoboken residents were advised that they might experience low water pressure late Friday, after a water main ruptured.

The main ruptured early Friday evening on 14th Street between Bloomfield and Garden streets, according to United Water.

Video from the scene showed a pond of brown water covering the intersection with a gush in the center.

Customers throughout Hoboken are advised that they may experience low pressure or discolored water as United Water investigates and isolates the leak.

The water remains safe, though customers may prefer to wait until it runs clear to drink it or use it to wash clothes, United Water said.
