Crews Repair Water Main Break In Hoboken

HOBOKEN, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Crews worked to repair a water main break in Hoboken Saturday morning.

According to the city's official Twitter handle, SUEZ Water Company isolated a broken 6 inch main near 2nd and Clinton Streets.

Customers on the block were without service for several hours.

Residents said they're frustrated by the frequency of water main breaks in their town.

"I feel like we pay quite a bit of money in property taxes and sewer and water bills that this should be something that's maintained on a regular basis, and it should be a sufficient system to maintain whatever the pressure is for everybody in town," Scott Kickery said.

This was the second water main break in the city in the first two weeks of the year. Last week, a water main broke on Observer Highway.
