NYPD: 59-Year-Old Critical After Brooklyn Hit-And-Run

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Brooklyn are looking to track down the driver they say mowed down a pedestrian and kept going.

Investigators say the 59-year-old victim was crossing Ralph Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant Sunday night when he was struck.

"You know I walk up this block every day for work -- this is the first I've hear they've had a hit-and-run here," one resident told 1010 WINS' Glenn Schuck. "This is something that needs to be addressed."

Police say they are possibly searching for a red sedan.

The car was reportedly seen fleeing northbound on Ralph avenue.

The victim is now listed in critical condition at Kings County Hospital.
