Dog Who Saved Owner From Gunman Needs New Home

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A hero dog needs a home, three years after helping save his owner's life.

In 2012, a gunman posing as a deliveryman had tried to push his way into Kiko's Staten Island home. The dog rushed past his owner and attacked the man. The gunman then shot Kiko in the head.

Thirteen-year-old Kiko recovered, but he's now deaf, and his owner can no longer take care of him.
