Here We Go Again: Nets' Lopez Out 10-14 Days With Foot Sprain

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — Brooklyn center Brook Lopez is expected to be sidelined for 10 days to two weeks after mildly spraining his right mid-foot Wednesday night in the Nets' exhibition game against Sacramento in China.

The Nets said Thursday that X-rays and a CT scan in New York revealed no fractures or bone injuries. Lopez missed most of last season after breaking the foot Dec. 21 during a game at Philadelphia.

Lopez, 26, has played only 96 regular-season games over the past three seasons due to injuries to the foot.

He is averaging 18 points and 5.8 rebounds this preseason.

The Nets open against the Celtics on October 29 in Boston.
