Firefighters Battle House Fire In Hempstead

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Firefighters on Long Island are battling a smokey house fire.

Pockets of flame could be seen shooting from the roof of the Stewart Avenue home in Hempstead on Thursday as firefighters attacked the flames from all angles.

It's unclear how the fire started.

No one was hurt.
