Man's Body Found Between 2 Hell's Kitchen Buildings
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man's body was found between two buildings in Hell's Kitchen in the middle of the day Wednesday.
Around 3:10 p.m., police were called to 45th Street just east of Ninth Avenue, by a building superintendent. The super said he was told by construction workers who were remodeling an apartment that there was a body between the buildings at 357 and 359 W. 45th St., police said.
Officers found the 21-year-old man unconscious sand unresponsive between the two buildings, and he was pronounced dead, police said.
The 359 building is a residential building. The 357 building – which shares frontage with Ninth Avenue – houses businesses on the ground floor and apartments above, according to Google Maps.
The New York City Medical Examiner's office will determine the cause of the man's death, police said. The man's identity was pending family notification.
