Hazmat Gives All Clear After Train Carrying Crude Oil Derails In South Philadelphia

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A CSX train carrying crude oil derailed overnight in South Philadelphia.

Hazmat crews were called in after 11 tanker cars went off the track just after 3 a.m. Saturday, CBS Philly reported.

The derailment happened inside a rail yard, but the cars remained mostly upright with a slight lean.

The Philadelphia Fire Department also responded to the scene, but there were no reports of leaks or spills.

Equipment will now be brought in to put the cars back onto the tracks.

No injuries were reported.
