Harvey, Fallon Take Shots At Each Other While Enjoying Rangers Game
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Matt Harvey won't be returning to the majors any time soon, but he's staying loyal to the Rangers through their Stanley Cup finals run.
The Mets' ace, likely out for the season after undergoing Tommy John surgery, was at the Garden on Monday night to cheer on the Blueshirts in what turned out to be a disappointing Game 3 loss.
Who was he enjoying the game with?
No, not a model this time. The rehabbing righty took in the contest with none other than late-night host Jimmy Fallon.
Harvey, of course, did a memorable skit on Fallon's show before starting the 2013 National League All-Star Game. The pitcher and the comedian had some fun during the contest, taking shots at each other on social media.
Fallon started it, taking to Instagram to tell the world that he's sitting next to actor Joaquin Phoenix. The playful snipe was likely in reference to Harvey's imposing playoff beard.
I can't believe I'm sitting next to Joaquin Phoenix at the Ranger game. #MattHarvey #GoRangers http://t.co/WhVE9tSOoS

Harvey fired back with a perfect low blow, tweeting that's he alongside rival late-night host Jimmy Kimmel. Ouch!
I can't believe I'm sitting next to @jimmykimmel. He didn't recognize me. Lets go @nyrangers and… http://t.co/HpAEUFXUgE

At least two guys had fun at Monday night's disastrous game.
