Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Girl, 17, In Bergen County

HARRINGTON PARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A Harrington Park, New Jersey man was charged Friday with sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl.

Jesse Odom, 50, was charged with sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal sexual conduct following an investigation by Harrington Park police and the Bergen County Prosecutor's office, according to an office news release.

This past Monday, the girl's mother reported to police that her daughter was sexually assaulted by Odom, who was a family acquaintance, prosecutors alleged.

Prosecutors did not provide further details.

Bail for Odom was set at $150,000, and he was being held at the Bergen County Jail, prosecutors said.
