Man Stabbed On No. 1 Train In Harlem

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man was stabbed aboard the No. 1 train in Harlem on Friday afternoon.

The incident happened on the northbound train near Broadway and West 145th Street in Hamilton Heights around 4:30 p.m.

Police said two men in their 30s were arguing when the suspect pulled out a sharp instrument and stabbed the victim twice in the lower back. 

The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital in serious but stable condition.

As a result of the investigation, the 1 train bypassed the 145th Street station in both directions for approximately 90 minutes.

Police are checking area cameras in search of the suspect.
