Woman's Body Pulled From Harlem River Near Marble Hill

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police pulled a body from the Harlem River offshore from Marble Hill this weekend.

Around 11:42 p.m. Saturday, the NYPD Harbor Unit was called to the river near 225th Street and Adrian Avenue in Marble Hill – a neighborhood that is politically part of Manhattan, but geographically in the Bronx.

Police found a woman unconscious sand unresponsive in the water, and took her to the Peter Jay Sharp Boat House where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The New York City Medical Examiner's office will determine the cause of the woman's death.

Her identity has not been released.
