Harlem Church Honors Dads From All Walks Of Life With Haircuts, Hot Meals

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)-- A church in Harlem helped make Father's Day special for some dads in need.

First Corinthian Baptist Church honored dads from all walks of life on Sunday. They served meals to dozens of fathers who may have not had a place to go otherwise. The church also set up a station to give haircuts.

Members say serving others is what the church is all about.

"This is something that we do. We serve the community. We feel that as for fathers it's good to bring out the gentlemen who may be in homeless shelters and serve them," one member said.

Organizers said they expect to serve about 150 men this year.
