Audience Member Plugs Cell Phone Into 'Hand To God' Set On Broadway
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - If you want to be on stage during a Broadway show, you should probably audition.
One audience member at a recent showing of "Hand To God" apparently had a different idea.
A man clambered onto the stage July 2 and plugged his phone into the fake outlet on the set just before the show was to begin.
Cast member Sarah Stiles took to Twitter last Thursday to mention the incident.
A guy jumped on the stage and plugged his phone into the fake outlet on our set just before we started. @HandtoGodBway #fullmoon or #idiot ?

That was followed by a Tweet by fellow cast member Marc Kudisch on Friday.
Dear general audience, an electrical socket that's a part of the set of the play is NOT for you to charge your iPhone.....just an FYI.....

BroadwayAdjacent.com reports that the incident took place just before the show was supposed to get started and delayed the show by five minutes. According to the report, once the audience member received his phone back, he asked the usher, "Well, where can I charge it?"
