Lin-Manuel Miranda To Drop 'Hamilton' Mixtape In All-Star Collaboration

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Lin-Manuel Miranda took to Twitter Thursday to announce the release of a brand new 'Hamilton' mixtape, featuring mashups from a crew of all-star performers from across the pop music spectrum.

The 23-track album features songs from the Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical, as performed by Nas, Usher, Sia, John Legend, Wiz Khalifa, Kelly Clarkson, Regina Spektor, Alicia Keys and Ben Folds, among others.

Some of the stars on the album also tweeted out their support.

'Hamilton' won 11 Tony Awards in 2016, including the title of 'Best Musical.'

Miranda, who wrote and starred in the production when it first hit Broadway, left the show in July. His longtime understudy Javier Munoz took over the role.

The album will be available for pre-order on Friday.
