Report: 'Hamilton' Star Lin-Manuel Miranda To Leave Show July 9
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The star of the hit Broadway musical "Hamilton" will reportedly be leaving next month.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator of the musical that garner a record 16 Tony nominations, will have his last show on July 9.
Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that the contracts of many members of the show will expire.
Miranda has other projects on the horizon as he will star with Emily Blunt in Disney's "Mary Poppins Returns" and wrote music for the Disney-animated musical Moana. His first Broadway musical, "In the Heights," was also picked up by the Weinstein Co.
