Deadly NJ Turnpike Crash Snarls George Washington Bridge Traffic For Hours
TEANECK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Authorities say a motorcycle driver was killed in a crash early Friday morning, which caused lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike to be closed for hours causing major traffic delays.
State police said that the motorcyclist was killed in the crash around 2 a.m. on the local southbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike in Teaneck.
All lanes were blocked for about six hours as police investigated, but were reopened shortly before 7:30 a.m.
GWB Upper to NJ is experiencing a delay of 60 minutes due to an accident investigation closing the SB NJ Turnpike/I-95 locals near Exit 71.

The crash snarled traffic, causing a 60-minute delay on the George Washington Bridge headed into New Jersey and northbound delays on the turnpike because of volume.
