NYPD: Gun Found Hidden In Fake Bible In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus... Glock?
Police officers with the 70th precinct in Brooklyn found a pistol hidden in a case that was designed to resemble the Bible.
Officers found the gun when they pulled over a car in Brooklyn Monday morning at 2 a.m.
Officers detected an odor of marijuana in the car and spotted an open bottle of beer, police said.
Searching the driver, they found a holster in his waistband. A further search of the car was the fake bible case.
The case, which resembled a leather-bound version of the King James Bible and had the words "contains both the old & new testaments" printed on its cover, instead held a pistol, magazine and 10 bullets.
