Suspect Arrested In Alleged Attack, Attempted Robbery Of 90-Year-Old Woman
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police have made an arrest in an alleged attack and attempted robbery of an elderly woman in Greenwich Village.
Lillian Maduro, 49, faces robbery and assault charges, police said. Maduro is accused of trying to snatch a duffle bag away from the 90-year-old victim on Fifth Avenue and 12th Street back on Sept. 27.
When the woman fought back, police said Maduro knocked her to the ground and took off.
The victim suffered minor injuries.
