Police: 2 Stabbed In Gravesend, Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Two people were stabbed Thursday evening in Gravesend, Brooklyn, police said.

The victims were stabbed at 2579 West 16th St. in Brooklyn, police told CBS2.

Both were expected to survive.

The incident came the same day as a woman was slashed in broad daylight in another Brooklyn neighborhood, and a night after two men were slashed in Prospect Park.

The woman was attacked in Prospect Park South. A suspect came up behind a 53-year-old victim and slashed her in the neck just before 10 a.m. on Beverley Road, police said.

And around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in an unrelated incident, police said a 30-year-old jogger was slashed in his hand while fighting off a suspect who was trying to rob him on the path near the East Drive.

Minutes later at Parkside and Ocean avenues, police said the same suspect stabbed a 43-year-old man in the abdomen and took the victim's wallet.

A suspect, Keny Rochelin, 26, was charged in the Wednesday night incidents and also in the Feb. 10 stabbing of Yehuda Leib Brikman, 25, on Empire Boulevard in Crown Heights. The allegations of the attack in Brikman, who is a member of the Hasidic Jewish community, resulted in hate crime charges.
