Thousands Stranded At Grand Central Terminal After Death Shuts Down New Haven Line

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Thousands of commuters were stranded at Grand Central Terminal on Monday night.

Metro North service on the New Haven line was shut down after a man jumped in front of a train and was killed near the Bronx Botanical Gardens.

Delays were up to two hours in both directions, but some commuters took it in stride.

The MTA said the two lines had to be shut down because they share the same track at the Botanical Gardens stop.
